Migration
welcome to those coming from http://www.hagane.org.uk/serendipity
obviously, I've migrated things to blogger for various reasons that should be apparent if you were reading things to get here... :)
So yeah, hopefully less worries about trackback spam. Just need to slowly migrate all the pages. Gonna do it in order of the most spammed pages over a few nights.
Should finally be rid of that. And with no full metal forums, and no hagane blog, I'm probably going to discontinue using my webserver and consider getting Apple's mobile.me instead since I'd be paying the same money for it. Makes sense to me. :D

Chibi-Update
Various cute cosplayers
Gotta say this post cheered me up today - some photos are better than others, but for the most part all good ^_^ [via danny choo] [Potentially NSFW]
To-Love-Ru
Something else regarding anime culture and copious amounts of skin. Ladies and gentlemen, start your torrenting engines now. [NSFW]
A decent webcomic from someone I'd not normally look at
Involving a bit of punctuation. Not zero, but then not much either.
Today's Lesson: The Waco Siege
I'd never learned about this previously, so it's interesting reading, although worrying at the same time.
Click on the box. Make sure you have your sound on, but not too loud.
Who needs bubblewrap these days? Instead click on the box!
3G iPhone within 60 days?
With this, and the talk of GPS hardware that can connect up with the SDK, the iPhone's becoming an attractive prospect to replace my O2 XDA Orbit (Windows Mobile sucks)
Interesting reading. What do you think the outcome will be?
I suspect some how it'll be a terrorism charge, which will be unfortunate, as it might be the only way to hammer home how stupid biometrics is. I took part in the biometrics trial in Newcastle, and I've got to say that the concept is sound - but the execution is doomed to be severely lacking. People can always break a computer system - the only issue is time, cost, and resources needed.
I think that's it for the moment...

...
been up for 6 hours, back of my ankles are killing me and my back is 'twinging' every so often. Want to do something with my last day, but the way I'm feeling (not healthy) I'd be hobbling around Shibuya - no fun, and Akiba would be just as bad.
So instead I've been sat watching Densha Otoko on YouTube and slowly packing. Later I'll hobble round the corner to the local convenience store and grab food and drink but I suspect my last day in Tokyo is going to be more or less hotel-room bound. _|-|O

Nikko Arrival
local time: 21:37
arrived in Nikko 4 hours ago... staying in the nice Park Lodge Nikko, with a friendly owner and friendly staff. Journey to Nikko from Tokyo was nondescript *although Kate I rode on the Tsubasa shinkansen* :)
Aside from that Nikko looks a bit Silent Hill - grey and daunting... hopefully tomorrow will be less eerie :)
